Hiram is attending Georgia Southern University and pursuing a bachelor’s in public relations and a minor in applied music. As a child of a Unit Member, the opportunity to serve the Special Operations community is something Hiram is very grateful for. Before becoming a part of Vigilant Torch, Hiram worked at the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority as an intern. He assisted in the planning of events, writing copy, and the maintenance of community relations. In his free time, Hiram is a drum major for the Southern Pride marching band at his university and volunteers at community events. He lives in Statesboro, GA with his girlfriend Kaya and their cat Duchess.

Joshua Floersheim holds an Associate’s of Applied Science in Cybersecurity from Northern Virginia Community College, graduating summa cum laude. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity at George Mason University. As an Eagle Scout and Venturing BSA Summit awardee, Joshua has taken on leadership roles that demonstrate his ability to manage and inspire teams. As the Director of the Pipsico Experience, he developed and led a high adventure summer program for older Scouts, managing all logistics and ensuring the safety and engagement of participants. He also serves as Co-Owner and Moderator of a large Scouting-focused Discord server with over 2,000 members, often highlighting his expertise in community management, conflict resolution, and the enforcement of online policies. Outside of his professional and academic life, Joshua is a dedicated volunteer for various community service activities and enjoys spending his spare time gaming with his friends and outdoor activities.
